Simone Coetzer, a former CAIR and Master's student at Stellenbosch University, won the best student paper award at the 12th International Conference on Formal Ontology in Information Systems (FOIS 2021) with her paper on Debugging Classical Ontologies Using Defeasible Reasoning Tools. FOIS 2021 took place from 13 - 17 September 2021 as a hybrid event from Bozen-Bolzano, Italy.
